Haddontowne Swim Club Assistant Pool Manager

Position Overview:

Haddontowne Swim Club, a private outdoor pool located in the Haddontowne/Kressonwoods neighborhood of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Pool manager(s) for the summer season.  The club operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day and is owned and governed by a Board of Directors composed of elected members.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the efficient and effective daily operation of the pool facility and surrounding grounds
• Assist in supervising and managing a team of lifeguards to ensure safe and smooth daily operations
• Ensure compliance with all local regulations and safety standards governing outdoor pools and private recreation clubs
• Maintain a clean, organized and welcoming environment for members and guests
• Lead by example and set clear expectations for staff performance and conduct
• Collaborate with the Pool Manager and Board of Directors to address day-to-day maintenance and operational issues
• Promote the club to prospective members and clearly communicate membership expectations
• Enforce club rules and support staff in doing the same in a consistent and professional manner

Schedule and Availability:

• Availability required on weekends, including Memorial Day weekend, until daily operations begin
• Daily operations run from the end of the Cherry Hill School Year through Labor Day
• Assistant Managers are expected to work approximately half of the weekly schedule
• Schedules will be coordinated with the Pool Manager to ensure full coverage

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior pool management or supervisory experience preferred but not required
• Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification preferred (may be obtained after hire)
• Strong leadership skills with a positive and proactive attitude
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills
• Ability to interact professionally with staff, member, guests, Board Members, and external partners
