About the Club
Greenwood Park Bells Lake Community Club is a family-friendly summer destination where members come to swim, relax, and make memories. Our club includes a lake, pool, snack bar, and recreational areas. We’re looking for an energetic, organized, and community-minded Head Club Manager to lead our summer operations and keep the club running smoothly from opening day through Labor Day.
About the Role
As Head Club Manager, you’ll be the heart of Bells Lake’s daily operations — supervising staff, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, and helping our members have an amazing summer experience. You’ll manage lifeguards, assistant managers, gate staff, and snack bar employees, and work closely with the Board to keep everything on track.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Daily Operations: Oversee the pool, lake, snack bar, and grounds to make sure everything runs safely and efficiently.
- Build and Manage Your Team: Hire, train, and schedule staff — from guards to gatekeepers — and create a positive team culture.
- Maintain the Facility: Make sure the club stays clean, organized, and safe by inspecting and addressing maintenance issues promptly.
- Create a Great Member Experience: Be the friendly, professional point of contact for members — answering questions, resolving issues, and keeping the fun going.
- Coordinate Events: Help organize and staff special activities like Dive-In Movie Nights, Tubing Tuesdays, and the Overnight Campout.
- Oversee Administration: Keep accurate records, submit reports, handle payroll information, and coordinate with the Board on purchasing and budgeting.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong leadership and communication skills — you’re calm under pressure and great with people.
- Experience supervising staff or managing operations (aquatic or hospitality experience is a big plus).
- A proactive problem-solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
- CPR, First Aid, or Lifeguard certification (or willingness to obtain before the season).
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays during the summer.
